visited Ladakh with his scooter, so you can definitely take your own bike to Leh- Ladakh trip. no need to purchase a new bike for your Ladakh trip but you should keep in mind a few things.

first thing “your bike can not reach you at the highest motorable passes but your courage and confidence will reach you at the destination.”
second thing “care your bike when you travel at high altitude, your bike will care you.”
third thing “well serviced and oil change of your bike after every 1000-1500 km when you travel on Ladakh terrain”
forth thing “never be overconfident on Ladakh terrain, always follow the guidance of local people and experience person ”
fifth thing “always try to avoid night driving at the Himalayan roads”
